The material underneath. The color above.

Why the appearance of water belongs to a bigger material conversation.

Illustrative residential pool architecture

A surface is the beginning, rather than the answer.

A pool finish contributes to the appearance of the water, but it does not determine one fixed color. Depth, light, sky, surrounding architecture and water conditions all change what you see. That is why a small digital swatch can only start the conversation.

Look at a palette together.

Compare the proposed finish with coping, terrace and the existing architecture. A pale edge can give water a different visual relationship to the house than a darker one. Review the materials as a group, in the light where they will be used.

Use photographs thoughtfully.

Ask to see verified project photography and understand the conditions in which the pictures were taken. A bright midday photograph and an evening image can make the same material appear very different. Display settings and photographic processing also affect digital images.

Take the next step with a sample.

The LAGO material study is deliberately illustrative. Use it to explore a direction, then ask your designer about physical samples, appropriate specifications and professional advice for the actual site. Suitability, installation and maintenance need to be considered alongside appearance.

LET’S MAKE SOMETHING CONSIDERED.

A new pool. A fresh perspective.
A place you’ll want to come home to.
